The newly formed Mathematics department is engaged in providing Engineering Mathematics courses required for both the Diploma and B.Tech program.

Short-Term Goal: Students should develop mathematical independence and experience open-ended inquiry so that they have the competence and confidence to build their knowledge base. Department is also planning to provide tutorial classes informally for GATE aspirants from various engineering departments for their higher studies.

Long-Term Goal: Department have a vision for the students so that they appreciate the beauty, fun, and power of mathematics and be able to articulate what mathematics is about and what mathematicians do. We have a plan to introduce a Master’s program in Mathematics fully concentrating on the industry-oriented demand, specially in Operation Research which will have one semester fully dedicated to industry Training / Internship.
