Skill Development Programs

An Overview of the Institute

Ghani Khan Choudhury Institute of Engineering & Technology (GKCIET), located in Malda, West Bengal, was founded in 2010 under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (now Ministry of Education), Government of India.

The institute was set up with a clear mission: to develop multi layered, cross disciplinary, and inter sectoral technical professionals who can serve as a national platform for advancing and transferring academic technical expertise.

GKCIET is dedicated to delivering quality technical education spanning foundational to advanced levels. A special focus is placed on addressing the needs of women, school dropouts, and other underprivileged sections of society by organising numerous short term and long term skill oriented programmes. These initiatives are designed to foster economic empowerment and ensure inclusive social growth.

Beyond formal education, the institute actively promotes non formal learning pathways to produce skilled, job ready individuals capable of pursuing self employment.
